I’m an anatomic pathologist at the University of California, Davis, in sunny Sacramento, California.

I grew up in Vermont, where I attended Middlebury College and the University of Vermont College of Medicine. I did an Anatomic Pathology residency at Stanford University, where I did gastrointestinal pathology and cytopathology fellowships.  My first job post-training was at the University of Kentucky, where I practiced general surgical pathology and cytopathology and started developing these notes for my resident teaching sessions. These days, I mostly sign out GI and cytology cases. I have a sincere interest in all things surgical pathology though and I also really enjoy teaching!

When I’m not enjoying pathology, you can find me spending time with my family or exploring the Sierra Nevada Mountains, ideally on a pair of skis. I also love reading non-pathology books too, running, and cooking.

I’m always looking to add educational material and keep it accurate and up to date, so if you have any suggestions or find any errors, please let me know.

Thanks and hope you like my notes! 🙂
